What is Stock Market Simulator?

Installed in 1,638 simulated worlds

A ticker of invented companies runs down the panel, and every price on it moves for a reason. A product recall, a merger rumor, a CEO who says the wrong thing in the story feed, and the line jumps or falls. You are inside the market, not watching it from outside: write what you do, and the market and the people in it answer.

Most stock market simulators replay real quotes with play money, so the market ignores you by design. Here the prices are generated by the simulation, and that is the point: your trades, your leaks and your public statements move them. Buy, sell or short in plain language; the panel updates and the story shows who noticed.

People use it to feel how a whole economy reacts to events without risking anything, to teach or learn the basics of markets with a market that explains itself, to play a trader, founder or regulator in a story, or to test a scenario such as a crash, a bubble or a hostile takeover. No real money, no real market data, no broker connection.

FAQ about Stock Market Simulator

Is it free? Do I need an account?
Yes, free. Play a few rounds without signing up; an account is only for keeping the save.
Are the prices real?
No. Every company and every price is generated by the simulation and moves on what happens in the story, including what you do. It is not a feed of real quotes, which is what lets the market react to you.
Can I actually trade?
Yes. Say what you want in plain words: buy some shares, sell a position, short a company. The panel records the trade and the price reacts over the following turns.
Is it good for students or beginners?
Yes. Because every move has a visible cause in the story, you can see why a price changed rather than just that it did. There is nothing to lose and no jargon required.
What kind of events move the market?
Earnings, scandals, strikes, regulation, rumors, interviews, wars, weather, and your own actions. The AI generates them and the ticker responds; some events are set up before you arrive.
Can I be someone other than an investor?
Yes. Before starting, say who you are: a hedge fund manager, a founder about to go public, a journalist, a central banker. The market and the people in it adjust to that role.
