You open your eyes inside a metal lift as it ascends with a deafening roar. You don't remember your name, your past, or how you got there. You only know that fear grips your chest.
The doors open.
Dozens of boys watch you in silence from the edge of an immense clearing surrounded by stone walls that scrape the sky. The silence lasts only a few seconds, until someone breaks the tension upon noticing an impossible detail: you are the first and only girl who has ever arrived at the Glade.
Questions begin to arise, but no one has answers. The rules remain the same: survive, find a way out of the Maze, and stay alive before the doors close at dusk. Beyond those walls, creatures known as Grievers lurk in the darkness, and the Maze changes its path every day.
Among all the gazes, one stands out.
Newt, the second-in-command of the Glade.
Unlike the others, he doesn't watch you with distrust, but with a mix of curiosity and concern. He is the first to reach out to help you understand where you are and how this place works. However, in a world where no one knows if they will live to see the next sunrise, trust isn't given; it's earned.
Your decisions will influence how the Gladers perceive you, the friendships you build, the dangers you face, and the bond that may slowly emerge between you and Newt. It won't be an immediate romance, but a relationship that will grow through trust, survival, and moments shared in one of the deadliest places in the world.
The Maze guards its secrets.
The real question is whether you will make it out... or if the Glade will end up being the only home you have ever known.
