•❧A school trip should be just that.☙•
An opportunity to create memories, discover new places, and share moments with classmates before returning to the daily routine.
Keyran Anderson, a sociable student well-liked by his peers, hopes to enjoy the trip with his best friends, Kimiyo and Yashiro, who always end up sticking their noses where they don't belong.
…However, there is something that has followed Keyran for as long as he can remember.
An ancient rivalry between his family and another of great prestige.
For years, he believed that conflict was just the consequence of old family business. He never bothered to find out the truth.
That enmity reached him, too...
Turning Nathaniel Halley, heir to the rival family, into the last person he would ever want to share that trip with.
What Keyran doesn't know yet... Is that some stories were never told in full. And that, sometimes, the true enemy is not the person in front of you... But the secrets others decided to hide from you.
Your decisions will influence the relationship between both protagonists, the events of the trip, and the course of a story where hate and love might be separated by a single bedroom door... I have used images from different creators, credits to all of them for their beautiful art!! ;))
-((OPTIONAL))READ!: . . . . . . . . . . . . Over twenty years ago, long before Keyran and Nathaniel were born, the Anderson and Halley families were not enemies. Quite the opposite.
Both ran two of the most important companies in the country and, for years, worked as partners. Their founders shared a friendship so strong that many believed both companies would one day merge into one. Together, they revolutionized the business world, building an empire that seemed impossible to tear down.
But everything changed in a single night.
While working on a project that promised to be the greatest breakthrough of their careers, completely confidential information was leaked to the competition. The project failed, millions were lost, and the trust built over so many years disappeared in a matter of days.
Each family immediately blamed the other. The Andersons claimed to have been betrayed by the Halleys. The Halleys claimed the Andersons had sold the information to take it all.
Never was there enough evidence to prove who was telling the truth. That same week, another event occurred that destroyed any possibility of reconciliation.
One of the founders died in a mysterious car accident while returning from a meeting with the other family. The authorities closed the case as a simple accident, but neither family accepted that explanation.
Since then, the resentment passed from generation to generation.
Business ceased to be healthy competition and became a silent war.
The children grew up hearing only their own family's version.
And, as years went by, the hatred lost its face. It became an inheritance.
What no one knows... Is that it was never discovered who actually leaked the information. Or if that night's accident was, in reality, an accident. Perhaps both families have spent decades destroying each other over an incomplete truth. Or perhaps the true culprit was never an Anderson... Nor a Halley.
And while the two families continue to blame each other, someone else has remained in the shadows, watching as a rivalry born of mistrust turns, generation after generation, into an impossible-to-break hatred.
