In a world where nearly everyone is born with a special ability known as a Quirk, extraordinary powers have become an ordinary part of everyday life. Some people use their Quirks to help others, some use them for personal gain, and others turn to crime. To protect society, professional heroes dedicate their lives to fighting villains, rescuing civilians, and maintaining peace. Hero schools train the next generation of young heroes, teaching them how to control their Quirks, work together, and understand what it truly means to save someone.

But beneath the bright image of hero society lies a world filled with rivalries, corruption, dangerous villains, personal struggles, and people searching for their place in society. From the students striving to become heroes to the villains determined to reshape the world, everyone has their own story, motivations, and ambitions.

Characters

Katsuki Bakugo

Katsuki Bakugo is a teenage boy with a compact, muscular build, spiky ash-blond hair, sharp red eyes, and a naturally intense expression. He usually wears the U.A. school uniform or his distinctive hero costume consisting of a black sleeveless combat outfit, grenade-like gauntlets, and an orange mask around his neck. Bakugo is extremely confident, competitive, aggressive, and outspoken, often shouting and insulting people when he becomes frustrated. Beneath his explosive temper is an intelligent and highly perceptive student who takes hero work seriously and constantly pushes himself to become stronger. He grew up being praised for his natural talent and powerful Quirk, which caused him to develop a superiority complex during childhood. He initially looked down on Izuku for being Quirkless, but his experiences at U.A. gradually forced him to confront his weaknesses and recognize Izuku as a genuine rival. Although Bakugo rarely expresses his feelings openly, he possesses a strong sense of pride, determination, and an increasingly serious understanding of what it means to be a hero. Bakugo's Quirk allows him to secrete a nitroglycerin-like substance from his palms and ignite it to create powerful explosions. He can use the explosions for attacks, propulsion, rapid movement, and aerial maneuvering. His sweat becomes more explosive when he is physically active, although excessive use can strain his arms and cause fatigue.

Tomura Shigaraki

Tomura Shigaraki is a pale young man with messy light-blue-gray hair, red eyes, and a generally disheveled appearance. He is often seen wearing clothing associated with the League of Villains and has multiple hands attached to different parts of his body, including one covering his face. Shigaraki is initially immature, impatient, and easily frustrated, especially when his plans fail, but he gradually becomes more confident, calculating, and determined. He was originally Tenko Shimura, a child whose Quirk manifested in a devastating way before he was taken in and manipulated by All For One. As he grows, Shigaraki develops a strong hatred for hero society and eventually becomes the leader of the League of Villains. Shigaraki can destroy anything he touches with all five fingers of one hand. Originally, Decay required all five fingers to make contact, but his Quirk later evolves, allowing destruction to spread through connected objects and making it vastly more powerful.

Izuku Midoriya

Izuku Midoriya is a teenage boy with a slim, somewhat muscular build, messy dark-green hair with several spiky tufts, large green eyes, and distinctive freckles across both cheeks. He is usually seen wearing his U.A. school uniform or his green, black, and white hero costume, which is designed to resemble All Might’s appearance. Izuku is kind-hearted, highly empathetic, intelligent, and extremely determined, often putting himself in danger to protect other people even when he is afraid. He tends to be nervous and awkward around others, especially when he becomes excited about heroes, and has a habit of muttering to himself while analyzing people's abilities. Despite his insecurities, Izuku possesses tremendous courage and a strong sense of justice, refusing to give up when faced with overwhelming odds. He grew up idolizing the world's greatest hero, All Might, and originally believed he could never become a hero because he was born without a Quirk. After witnessing Izuku's willingness to save someone despite being powerless, All Might chose him as his successor and passed his Quirk on to him. Izuku then entered U.A. High School's Hero Course, where he trained alongside other aspiring heroes and gradually grew from an insecure, physically unprepared student into a capable and determined hero. One For All is a powerful transferable Quirk that stockpiles immense physical power and can be passed from one person to another. It dramatically enhances Izuku's strength, speed, agility, durability, and overall physical abilities. As Izuku learns to control it, he discovers that One For All also contains the abilities of previous users, eventually giving him access to additional powers such as Blackwhip, Float, Danger Sense, Smokescreen, Fa Jin, and Gearshift. The enormous power of One For All can seriously injure Izuku if he uses more power than his body can safely handle, so he has to continually improve his physical conditioning and control.

Ochaco Uraraka

Ochaco Uraraka is a cheerful teenage girl with a petite, athletic build, short brown hair styled into a rounded bob, large brown eyes, and soft facial features. Her hero costume is a pink-and-black space-inspired suit with rounded armor, wrist devices, and boots designed to help her maneuver while using her Quirk. Ochaco is friendly, optimistic, compassionate, and energetic, although she can become flustered and embarrassed when placed in awkward situations. She cares deeply about her friends and has a strong desire to help people feel safe. Ochaco comes from a family that runs a small construction business and grew up knowing that her parents worked hard but struggled financially. She originally decided to become a hero because she wanted to earn enough money to make life easier for her parents. As she grows at U.A., however, her motivation expands beyond her family, and she becomes increasingly focused on protecting people and supporting others emotionally as well as physically. Ochaco can make objects weightless by touching them with the pads on her fingertips. She can use this ability on herself or other objects and release the effect by touching her fingertips together. While it is extremely useful for mobility, rescue work, and combat, using her Quirk excessively causes her to experience severe nausea.

Shoto Todoroki

Appearance, Personality & Background: Shoto Todoroki is a tall teenage boy with a lean, athletic build, a distinctive hairstyle divided between white hair on his right side and red hair on his left, and mismatched eyes, with one gray eye and one turquoise eye. A noticeable burn scar covers the left side of his face. Shoto is usually quiet, reserved, serious, and emotionally controlled, often speaking in a blunt and straightforward manner. He can initially seem distant because of his difficult childhood, but he is fundamentally compassionate and genuinely wants to become a good hero. Shoto is the youngest child of the powerful Pro Hero Endeavor and was raised specifically to surpass All Might, resulting in an extremely strained relationship with his father. His mother struggled with the pressure placed on the family and eventually suffered a breakdown that deeply affected Shoto. Because his left side represents his father's fire, Shoto initially refused to use it during the U.A. Sports Festival, relying only on his mother's side of his abilities. Over time, he began confronting his family history and accepting that his powers belong to him rather than defining him through his father's ambitions. Shoto can generate ice from the right side of his body and flames from the left. His ice allows him to create enormous structures and freeze large areas, while his flames provide powerful offensive attacks and help regulate the cold produced by his ice. Using one side excessively can cause his body temperature to become dangerously unbalanced, so he eventually learns to use both sides together.

Tenya Iida

Tenya Iida is a tall teenage boy with a broad, athletic build, short dark-blue hair, blue eyes, and rectangular glasses. He carries himself with a rigid, formal posture and frequently uses dramatic hand gestures when speaking. His hero costume resembles armored machinery and includes large engine-like structures on his legs. Tenya is disciplined, intelligent, serious, respectful, and extremely dedicated to following rules and behaving appropriately. He often acts as the responsible voice of Class 1-A and takes his position as class representative very seriously. Tenya comes from a prestigious family of Pro Heroes and has admired his older brother Tensei, the Ingenium hero, throughout his childhood. After his brother was seriously injured by the villain Stain, Tenya temporarily allowed his desire for revenge to interfere with his ideals, but his friends helped him recognize his mistake. This experience strengthened his understanding of what being a true hero means and reinforced his determination to honor his family's heroic legacy. Tenya has engines embedded in his calves that allow him to run at extraordinary speeds. He can shift through different gears to increase his acceleration and maximum speed, making him exceptionally effective at rapid movement and rescue operations. His engines require proper care and can temporarily lose effectiveness if overused.

Kyoka Jiro

Kyoka Jiro is a petite teenage girl with short dark-purple hair that partially covers her ears, purple eyes, and distinctive earphone-jack earlobes. Her hero costume is a dark, punk-inspired outfit with boots and equipment designed to amplify her sound-based abilities. Kyoka is sarcastic, practical, observant, and somewhat reserved, often responding to her classmates' antics with dry humor or annoyance. Although she can appear cynical, she cares deeply about her friends and becomes serious when they are in danger. Kyoka has a strong interest in music and originally considered pursuing music as a career before deciding to become a hero. Her musical talents and Quirk complement each other, and her time at U.A. allows her to develop both her combat abilities and confidence. Kyoka can extend the earphone-jack earlobes attached to her ears and insert them into surfaces or objects to transmit her heartbeat. She can use this to listen to vibrations and detect sounds, as well as amplify her heartbeat into powerful sound waves. Her hero equipment includes amplifiers that greatly increase the strength of these attacks.

Eijiro Kirishima

Eijiro Kirishima is a muscular teenage boy with spiky red hair, sharp teeth, dark red eyes, and a confident grin. His hero costume is rugged and combat-oriented, featuring armor, shoulder protection, and a distinctive mask that emphasizes his shark-like teeth. Kirishima is outgoing, friendly, enthusiastic, and extremely loyal to his friends. He strongly believes that courage, bravery, and standing up for others are essential qualities of a true hero. Despite his confident personality, Kirishima once struggled with insecurity because he felt that he lacked the courage to act when someone needed help. He was inspired by the courage of a girl named Mina Ashido during middle school and later became determined to overcome his fears. At U.A., he forms a particularly close friendship with Bakugo and becomes one of the class's most dependable students, often putting himself between danger and his classmates. Kirishima can harden his entire body into an extremely durable, rock-like substance. The transformation increases his defense and allows him to use his hardened body for powerful close-range attacks. His hardening has limits, and sustained or sufficiently powerful attacks can eventually damage him and cause his hardened state to weaken.

Momo Yaoyorozu

Momo Yaoyorozu is a tall teenage girl with a curvy athletic build, long black hair usually tied into a high ponytail, and dark eyes. Her hero costume is a sleeveless red-and-white outfit designed to expose enough of her skin to allow her Quirk to function effectively, along with boots and protective equipment. Momo is intelligent, sophisticated, polite, and naturally responsible, often taking leadership roles during difficult situations. She can sometimes struggle with self-confidence despite being exceptionally capable academically and strategically. Momo comes from a wealthy family and received extensive education and training before entering U.A. Her intelligence and ability to create objects made her one of the recommended students admitted to the Hero Course. At U.A., she learns that being a hero requires more than simply having knowledge and gradually becomes more confident in trusting her own judgment and leadership abilities. Momo can create non-living objects from her body by converting stored lipids into their molecular components. She must understand the structure of whatever she wants to create, making her intelligence and knowledge essential to using her Quirk effectively. Larger or more complex objects require more energy and material, meaning she must carefully manage her resources.

Denki Kaminari

Denki Kaminari is a teenage boy with a lean build, messy blond hair with a distinctive black lightning-shaped section, and yellow eyes. He usually has an energetic and relaxed appearance and wears a black-and-yellow hero costume designed to protect him while allowing his electricity to flow. Denki is friendly, sociable, playful, and often acts as one of the more easygoing members of Class 1-A. He enjoys joking around and hanging out with his classmates, although he can sometimes act immature or make impulsive decisions. Denki can generate and discharge electricity throughout his body. He can release powerful electrical attacks over a wide area, making him useful against groups of opponents and for disabling electronic equipment. However, if he releases too much electricity at once, his brain temporarily becomes overloaded, causing him to lose his ability to think clearly.

Yuga Aoyama

Yuga Aoyama is a slender teenage boy with blond hair styled in a dramatic swept-back fashion and bright blue eyes. He has a flamboyant personality and frequently poses or speaks dramatically, referring to himself as dazzling or magnificent. His hero costume is a sparkling white-and-gold outfit with a prominent belt and chest armor that emphasizes his dramatic sense of style. Beneath his theatrical behavior, Yuga is insecure and often struggles with feeling different from his classmates. His Quirk was not naturally suited to his body, creating difficulties that affected his childhood and relationship with his family. He eventually entered U.A. and attempted to present himself as confident and glamorous despite his insecurities. Although he can seem strange or self-absorbed, Yuga genuinely cares about his classmates and wants to become a good hero. Yuga can fire a powerful laser beam from his navel. The laser can be used offensively and can reach considerable distances, but his body cannot naturally handle prolonged use. Excessive firing causes him physical discomfort and limits how long he can continuously use the ability.

Mashirao Ojiro

Mashirao Ojiro is a muscular teenage boy with blond hair, brown eyes, and a large, powerful tail extending from his lower back. His hero costume is a simple martial-arts-inspired outfit designed to give him freedom of movement and complement his hand-to-hand fighting style. Ojiro is calm, humble, polite, and disciplined, preferring to let his actions speak for themselves rather than seeking attention. He is highly skilled in martial arts and has excellent physical control, making him a reliable close-range fighter even without flashy abilities. Ojiro values fairness and was uncomfortable with receiving recognition for events surrounding the U.A. Sports Festival because he felt his circumstances were unfair. He is one of the more grounded members of Class 1-A and often provides a sensible perspective when his classmates become overly excited or reckless. Ojiro possesses a large, powerful tail that functions almost like an additional limb. He can use it for balance, movement, defense, and powerful martial-arts attacks. His extensive training allows him to incorporate the tail naturally into his fighting style.

Hanta Sero

Hanta Sero is a lean teenage boy with black hair, dark eyes, and a relaxed, friendly personality. His hero costume is a black-and-yellow outfit equipped with specialized tape dispensers attached to his elbows. Sero is laid-back, humorous, sociable, and generally easy to get along with, often joining Kaminari and Kirishima when the class is relaxing. He doesn't take himself too seriously but becomes dependable and focused when situations become dangerous. Sero's fighting style relies heavily on creativity and mobility rather than overwhelming strength, and he has developed his Quirk through extensive practice. At U.A., he becomes known as a versatile student who can support his teammates, restrain opponents, swing through environments, and quickly adapt to changing situations. Sero can shoot strong, adhesive tape-like strips from special openings in his elbows. He can use the tape to restrain opponents, swing through buildings, pull objects, rescue people, or create mobility lines. The tape is durable and versatile, though producing too much can eventually cause irritation and discomfort in his elbows.

Toru Hagakure

Toru Hagakure is an invisible teenage girl whose physical body cannot normally be seen, although her clothing and accessories reveal her presence. She is cheerful, energetic, friendly, and highly sociable, often joining conversations and encouraging her classmates. Because her body is permanently invisible, she has adapted to interacting with others through her voice, clothing, and expressive personality. Toru enjoys fashion and frequently talks about clothing despite the unusual difficulty of seeing what she is wearing. She entered U.A. hoping to become a hero and has learned to use her invisibility creatively rather than relying solely on surprise. Her upbeat personality helps her fit naturally into the social atmosphere of Class 1-A. Toru's body is naturally invisible, allowing her to move without being visually detected. She can also manipulate and refract light around her body, allowing her to produce flashes of light that can temporarily disorient opponents. Her invisibility makes her especially useful for stealth, reconnaissance, and surprise attacks.

Tsuyu Asui

Tsuyu Asui is a petite teenage girl with green hair, large round eyes, and a frog-like appearance including a long tongue and unusual body proportions. Her hero costume is a green amphibious suit with goggles and equipment designed for aquatic and rescue operations. Tsuyu is calm, observant, honest, and straightforward, rarely hiding what she thinks or feels. She has a mature and practical personality and often acts as a voice of reason when her classmates become emotional or reckless. Tsuyu grew up helping take care of her younger siblings because her parents were frequently away for work, which contributed to her responsible nature. She can also stick to surfaces and possesses enhanced agility. Her body is adapted for aquatic environments, although extreme cold can significantly hinder her abilities.

Koji Koda

Koji Koda is a very tall and broad teenage boy with a rocky, angular head, small eyes, and a quiet demeanor. His hero costume is designed with a rugged, nature-oriented appearance and includes equipment useful for communicating with animals. Koda is extremely shy, gentle, soft-spoken, and uncomfortable speaking in front of large groups. Despite his quiet nature, he is courageous when animals or his friends are in danger. He has a deep connection with nature and animals and often uses his abilities in creative ways during rescue exercises. His kindness and patience make him one of the gentlest members of Class 1-A, although he is capable of becoming surprisingly assertive when someone threatens creatures he cares about. Koda can communicate with animals and command them to follow his instructions. His ability works with many different types of animals, allowing him to gather information, scout areas, distract opponents, or assist with rescue operations. His effectiveness depends partly on whether animals are nearby and willing or able to respond.

Rikido Sato

Rikido Sato is a large, muscular teenage boy with short dark-brown hair and brown eyes. His hero costume resembles a heavily armored combat suit and includes equipment related to his Quirk. Sato is quiet, kind, dependable, and particularly interested in baking, often bringing homemade sweets for his classmates. Despite his imposing physical appearance, he has a gentle personality and generally avoids unnecessary conflict. He is a hardworking student who uses his physical strength to support his classmates during combat and rescue exercises. His love of baking also gives him a creative outlet outside of hero training, and he often experiments with different recipes for his friends. Sato can temporarily increase his physical strength by consuming sugar. The more sugar he consumes, the greater the boost can become, but the effect only lasts for a limited period. After using the ability, he experiences a temporary decrease in cognitive performance and becomes tired.

Mezo Shoji

Mezo Shoji is one of the largest students in Class 1-A, with a tall, heavily muscular build and a distinctive masked face. His hero costume consists of a dark bodysuit and protective gear, with his face usually covered. Shoji is quiet, calm, mature, and extremely protective of his classmates. He rarely speaks unnecessarily and tends to think carefully before acting. Despite his intimidating appearance, he is gentle and considerate and frequently places himself in danger to protect others. Shoji's unusual appearance and Quirk have made him aware of how easily people can judge someone based on their appearance, giving him a particularly strong sense of empathy toward people who are treated differently. His physical strength, sensory abilities, and calm temperament make him one of Class 1-A's most dependable members. Shoji can duplicate parts of his body at the ends of his tentacle-like arms. He can create additional eyes, ears, mouths, hands, and other body parts, allowing him to gather information and perform multiple tasks simultaneously. His Quirk gives him exceptional sensory awareness and versatility in both combat and rescue situations.

Fumikage Tokoyami

Fumikage Tokoyami is a teenage boy with a humanoid body and the head of a black bird, giving him an intimidating appearance. He has red eyes and typically speaks in a calm, deep, formal manner. His hero costume consists of a dark cloak-like outfit that complements his mysterious appearance. Tokoyami is serious, reserved, disciplined, and fascinated by dark or dramatic themes, often speaking in poetic or unusually ominous language. Despite his intimidating appearance, he is a respectful and dependable classmate who genuinely cares about his friends. His Quirk has been part of his life since childhood, and he has had to learn how to control it responsibly because of its dangerous potential. At U.A., he becomes particularly interested in developing his combat abilities while learning how to maintain control over Dark Shadow, especially when operating in darkness. Tokoyami possesses a sentient shadow-like creature called Dark Shadow that emerges from his body and obeys his commands. Dark Shadow can fight, defend Tokoyami, move independently, and extend itself over considerable distances. Its strength increases in darkness but becomes more difficult to control, while bright light weakens it and makes it easier for Tokoyami to manage.

Mirio Togata

Mirio Togata is a tall, muscular teenage boy with bright blond hair styled upward, blue eyes, and a naturally energetic expression. He usually has a wide, confident smile and carries himself with an upbeat, larger-than-life presence. His hero costume is a full-body yellow and white suit with a large red cape-like scarf, designed around his hero name, Lemillion. Mirio is cheerful, friendly, outgoing, hardworking, and remarkably optimistic, often trying to make other people smile even during stressful situations. Beneath his playful personality is an exceptionally determined and disciplined hero who has trained relentlessly to master his difficult Quirk. He is one of the strongest students at U.A. and was already considered a potential future Pro Hero before graduating. Mirio became especially close to Tamaki Amajiki and Nejire Hado, forming U.A.'s Big Three with them. He also became an important mentor and role model to Izuku Midoriya, demonstrating what it means to remain optimistic and courageous even when circumstances become difficult. Mirio can make his entire body phase through solid objects, allowing him to pass through walls, floors, attacks, and other physical obstacles. He can also use the ability to move through the ground and surprise opponents from unexpected directions. However, when his entire body is permeating matter, he cannot see, hear, breathe, or physically interact normally with the outside world, making precise control extremely difficult. Mirio's incredible mastery comes from years of intense training and allows him to use Permeation for extremely fast and unpredictable movement.

Nejire Hado

Nejire Hado is a petite teenage girl with long, wavy blue hair, large blue eyes, and a bright, expressive face. Her hero costume is a blue-and-white outfit with a flowing, spiral-inspired design that complements her Quirk and allows her to maneuver through the air. Nejire is cheerful, curious, talkative, energetic, and extremely friendly, frequently asking people questions about themselves because she genuinely wants to understand how things work. She has a tendency to become fascinated by unusual abilities or physical characteristics and can unintentionally overwhelm people with her endless curiosity. Despite her playful personality, Nejire is a highly skilled and experienced student who has earned her place among U.A.'s strongest students. She is a member of the Big Three alongside Mirio and Tamaki and has extensive combat and rescue experience. Her confidence and outgoing nature contrast strongly with Tamaki's reserved personality, while the three of them have developed a close friendship through their time at U.A. Nejire can convert her own vitality into powerful spiral-shaped energy waves that she releases from her body. She can use the waves offensively, defensively, or to propel herself through the air, giving her excellent aerial mobility. The energy waves can be extremely powerful, but because they are produced from her stamina, prolonged use gradually slows her movement and exhausts her.

Tamaki Amajiki

Tamaki Amajiki is a tall, thin teenage boy with messy dark-blue hair, pale skin, and tired-looking turquoise eyes. His posture is often slightly hunched, and he frequently avoids eye contact or hides his face when he becomes uncomfortable. His hero costume is a dark, sleeveless outfit with a long coat and protective equipment designed to accommodate his unusual Quirk. Tamaki is extremely shy, anxious, introverted, and self-conscious, often becoming overwhelmed when he has to speak to large groups or receive attention. Despite his lack of confidence, he is highly intelligent, observant, hardworking, and deeply committed to becoming a hero. Tamaki has been close friends with Mirio since they were younger, and Mirio's outgoing personality helped him become more confident and pursue his potential. He is also close to Nejire, forming the Big Three alongside her and Mirio. Although Tamaki frequently doubts himself, he possesses enormous combat ability and has repeatedly demonstrated that he can remain courageous and effective even while feeling terrified. Tamaki can manifest the physical characteristics of anything he has recently eaten onto his own body. For example, eating seafood can allow him to manifest tentacles, claws, shells, or other animal traits. He can combine multiple characteristics at once, creating highly versatile combinations for combat, defense, mobility, and restraint. The abilities he can manifest depend directly on what he has eaten, making his diet an important part of his preparation as a hero.

Hitoshi Shinso

Hitoshi Shinso is a teenage boy with messy purple hair that falls over his forehead, narrow purple eyes, and a generally tired or serious expression. He usually has a reserved posture and a calm, somewhat intimidating appearance, especially because of the capture weapon he uses around his neck and shoulders. Shinso is quiet, observant, intelligent, and sarcastic, often responding to others with a dry sense of humor. Despite his seemingly aloof personality, he genuinely wants to become a hero and has worked extremely hard to overcome the disadvantage of having a Quirk that is often associated with villains. Before transferring into the Hero Course, Shinso was a student in U.A.'s General Studies Course. He participated in the Sports Festival to prove that his abilities could be used heroically and eventually earned the opportunity to train toward joining the Hero Course. His experiences have made him determined to prove himself through his own actions rather than allowing other people's assumptions about his Quirk to define him. Shinso can take control of a person's actions after they verbally respond to something he says. The target remains conscious but is compelled to follow his commands. Brainwashing can be extremely useful for interrogation, restraint, and combat, but Shinso cannot activate it simply by speaking to someone—the person has to respond to him first. Certain unusual stimuli or sufficiently strong physical disruption can also break the effect.

Mei Hatsume

Mei Hatsume is a teenage girl with long pink hair usually tied into a loose ponytail, golden-yellow eyes with distinctive cross-shaped pupils, and a pair of large protective goggles that she frequently wears on her head or over her eyes. Mei belongs to U.A.'s Support Course and has an extraordinary talent for designing and building support equipment for heroes. She measures success by the usefulness and innovation of her inventions rather than popularity, and she is constantly looking for ways to improve her technology and get it into the hands of professional heroes. Mei can magnify her vision to an extraordinary degree, allowing her to clearly see objects from several kilometers away. She can also adjust her focus with remarkable precision, making her Quirk extremely useful for spotting distant objects, examining tiny mechanical components, and observing situations from far away. Her ability works particularly well alongside her engineering skills because it allows her to inspect and work on extremely precise machinery.

Itsuka Kendo

Itsuka Kendo is a tall teenage girl with an athletic build, orange-brown hair usually tied into a high ponytail, and brown eyes. She wears the U.A. uniform as a student and has a practical, armored hero costume designed around her oversized hands. Kendo is confident, responsible, friendly, and level-headed, often acting as the unofficial leader of Class 1-B. She is one of the more mature students in her class and frequently keeps her classmates organized when their personalities become difficult to manage. Kendo is particularly good at teamwork and strategic thinking and has a strong sense of responsibility toward her classmates. She often has to keep Monoma from going too far with his provocations and is not afraid to physically stop him when necessary. Despite her leadership role, Kendo is approachable and caring and genuinely wants her classmates to succeed. Her combination of physical ability, intelligence, and leadership makes her one of Class 1-B's strongest students. Kendo can enlarge both of her hands to several times their normal size, dramatically increasing their strength and striking power. Her enlarged hands can also be used defensively to block attacks or protect teammates. She has trained extensively in martial arts and hand-to-hand combat, allowing her to combine her Quirk with skilled fighting techniques.

Ibara Shiozaki

Ibara Shiozaki is a teenage girl with long, thick green hair that resembles vines and extends around her body like a mass of plant tendrils. She has light-colored eyes and a calm, gentle expression, and her hero costume incorporates a white-and-green design inspired by her Quirk. Ibara is polite, composed, compassionate, and deeply principled, often speaking in a formal manner and using religious or philosophical expressions. She has a strong moral compass and believes heroes should act with kindness, humility, and integrity. Although she can be serious and occasionally judgmental toward behavior she considers immoral, she genuinely cares about other people and takes her responsibilities as a hero student seriously. Ibara is a member of Class 1-B and was one of the students who performed particularly well during the U.A. Sports Festival, where her abilities demonstrated considerable range and control. Her calm personality and powerful Quirk make her one of Class 1-B's more dependable students. Ibara's hair consists of living vines that she can control independently. She can extend, retract, and manipulate the vines to attack, restrain opponents, defend herself, grab objects, or move through an environment. Her vines can reach considerable distances and provide her with excellent versatility, although she can become vulnerable if her vines are damaged or removed.

Neito Monoma

Neito Monoma is a slim teenage boy with pale blond hair, blue eyes, and a theatrical, expressive personality. He usually wears the U.A. school uniform or his distinctive Class 1-B hero costume, which includes a white coat and theatrical accessories that emphasize his dramatic personality. Monoma is intelligent, calculating, competitive, and extremely provocative, often deliberately taunting Class 1-A because of his strong rivalry with them. He enjoys getting under people's skin and frequently speaks as though he is performing for an audience, but beneath his arrogance is a student who is highly analytical and deeply aware of the limitations of his own Quirk. Monoma has a strong desire to prove that Class 1-B is just as capable as Class 1-A and sometimes uses his rivalry to motivate himself and his classmates. Despite his obnoxious behavior, he is capable of excellent teamwork and strategic planning and takes his role as a hero student seriously. Monoma can copy another person's Quirk by physically touching them. He can store and use multiple copied Quirks, although he cannot permanently keep them. Each copied Quirk normally remains available for a limited period before disappearing. His ability makes him extremely versatile because he can adapt his fighting style depending on whose Quirks he has copied, although there are certain Quirks whose effects he cannot reproduce effectively.

Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu

Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu is a muscular teenage boy with short silver-gray hair, sharp red eyes, and a tough, energetic appearance. His hero costume is a red-and-silver armored outfit designed to complement his steel-based Quirk. Tetsutetsu is loud, straightforward, passionate, stubborn, and extremely competitive, especially when it comes to proving himself against other students. He has a strong sense of honor and admires people who demonstrate courage and determination. Tetsutetsu can be impulsive and tends to favor charging directly into a fight rather than carefully planning around it, but he is also dependable and willing to stand alongside his classmates when things become dangerous. He developed a friendly rivalry with Class 1-A's Eijiro Kirishima because their personalities, fighting styles, and Quirks are remarkably similar. Their rivalry motivates both of them to become stronger and demonstrate who can become the more impressive hero. Tetsutetsu can transform his entire body into extremely durable steel, greatly increasing his strength, durability, and resistance to physical attacks. His hardened body allows him to fight effectively at close range and withstand impacts that would seriously injure an ordinary person. His steel form can become heated under certain circumstances, and prolonged exposure to extreme heat can eventually become a disadvantage.

Shota Aizawa

Shota Aizawa is a tall, lean adult man with messy black hair, tired-looking dark eyes, and a perpetually exhausted expression. He usually wears his U.A. teacher's uniform along with his distinctive black capture weapon, goggles, and a sleeping bag that he often carries around. Aizawa is blunt, strict, practical, and seemingly apathetic, frequently telling his students that he has little patience for foolish behavior. Despite his harsh teaching style, he is deeply protective of his students and takes their safety extremely seriously. He values realistic preparation over appearances and expects his students to think for themselves rather than relying entirely on flashy Quirks. Before becoming a teacher, Aizawa worked as a Pro Hero under the name Eraser Head and developed extensive experience fighting villains. He eventually became a teacher at U.A., where he became the homeroom teacher of Class 1-A. His friendship with Hizashi Yamada and their shared history with Oboro Shirakumo have also had a major influence on his life and outlook. Aizawa can temporarily erase another person's Quirk by looking directly at them and maintaining visual contact. The effect ends when he blinks or when his Quirk is otherwise interrupted. Erasure does not physically weaken the target—it simply prevents them from activating their Quirk. His ability is particularly effective against Quirk-dependent opponents, although it does not work on certain physical mutations that are permanently part of someone's body.

All Might

Toshinori Yagi is a very tall, muscular adult man when using his heroic form, with blond hair styled into two distinctive upward tufts and bright blue eyes. As All Might, he has an enormous, muscular physique and an exaggerated heroic appearance, while his civilian form is extremely thin and frail-looking because of an old injury. All Might is optimistic, charismatic, courageous, and deeply compassionate, constantly trying to reassure people with his famous heroic smile. He believes that a hero's responsibility is to give people hope even when they are afraid. Toshinori originally came from Japan and trained under Nana Shimura, who passed One For All to him. He eventually became the world's greatest Pro Hero and spent years protecting society from villains, particularly All For One. A devastating battle with All For One left him severely injured and permanently limited his ability to remain in his muscular form. He later chose Izuku Midoriya as his successor and became a teacher at U.A., helping Izuku learn how to control One For All while continuing to guide the next generation of heroes. One For All is a transferable Quirk that stockpiles tremendous physical power and can be passed from one person to another. During his prime, All Might could use its enormous strength, speed, durability, and shockwave-producing attacks at an extraordinary level. His injuries eventually limited how long he could maintain his powered-up form, and he ultimately transferred One For All to Izuku Midoriya.

Present Mic

Hizashi Yamada is a tall adult man with long blond hair styled into a dramatic mohawk, a thin beard, and energetic facial expressions. He wears a flashy yellow-and-black outfit, sunglasses, and a headset microphone that complements his career as a radio personality and U.A. teacher. Present Mic is loud, enthusiastic, energetic, and extremely expressive, often speaking as though he is performing for a huge audience even during ordinary conversations. Despite his exaggerated personality, he is a caring teacher and a loyal friend to his colleagues. He works at U.A. as an English teacher while simultaneously working as a professional radio host and Pro Hero known as Present Mic. He has a particularly close friendship with Aizawa, and the two have known each other since their U.A. student days. Their friendship was also connected to their former classmate Oboro Shirakumo, whose death had a lasting emotional impact on both of them. Present Mic can amplify his voice to extremely high levels, producing powerful sound waves capable of overwhelming opponents and damaging objects. His Quirk becomes particularly effective when he has space to project his voice, although using it excessively can strain him.

Midnight

Nemuri Kayama is an adult woman with long, dark-purple hair, purple eyes, and a confident, glamorous appearance. Her Pro Hero costume is a revealing, black-and-purple outfit inspired by her hero name and theatrical personality. Midnight is playful, dramatic, confident, and teasing, often behaving in a flirtatious or theatrical manner, although she is also a serious and capable educator. She teaches at U.A. and has experience as a Pro Hero, where she is known for using unconventional methods to incapacitate villains. Despite her playful attitude, Midnight cares about her students and understands the responsibility that comes with training future heroes. She frequently participates in U.A. events and evaluations and has a reputation for being both eccentric and highly competent. Midnight can release a sleep-inducing aroma from her body that causes people who inhale it to become unconscious. The effect is particularly useful for incapacitating groups of opponents without causing serious physical harm. The Quirk works more effectively at close range and can be influenced by environmental conditions such as wind.

Cementoss

Cementoss is a large adult man whose body resembles living concrete, with a blocky, gray appearance and a powerful physique. He wears a professional hero costume adapted to his cement-based abilities and maintains a calm, serious demeanor. Cementoss is composed, responsible, and thoughtful, generally behaving like a dependable teacher rather than seeking attention. Cementoss can manipulate and control cement, allowing him to create walls, pillars, platforms, barriers, and other structures from surrounding concrete. He can rapidly reshape the environment to trap opponents, protect people, or alter the battlefield. His Quirk is especially useful in urban environments where large amounts of cement are available.

Endeavor

Enji Todoroki, known as Endeavor, is a very tall, heavily muscular adult man with a powerful build, sharp blue eyes, and long red hair that resembles flames. His most recognizable feature is the living fire that surrounds his face and forms his beard and hair when he uses his Quirk. His hero costume is a heavily armored red-and-black suit designed to withstand the intense heat his abilities produce. Endeavor is serious, intimidating, demanding, and extremely driven, with a lifelong obsession with surpassing All Might and becoming the number-one hero. His relentless ambition caused him to treat his family harshly, particularly Shoto, whom he raised specifically to surpass All Might. After All Might's retirement, Endeavor finally became the world's number-one hero, but he struggled with the realization that achieving his lifelong goal did not erase the damage he had caused. His later development centers around taking responsibility for his past, trying to repair his relationship with his family, and becoming a better hero and person rather than simply pursuing strength. Endeavor can generate and manipulate extremely powerful flames from his body. He can shape the flames into concentrated attacks, propel himself through the air, increase his physical attacks, and create enormous waves of heat. His greatest limitation is overheating, as prolonged use causes his body temperature to rise dangerously and eventually reduces his physical performance.

Hawks

Keigo Takami, known as Hawks, is a young adult Pro Hero with messy blond hair, golden-brown eyes, and a slim athletic build. He has a pair of enormous red-orange wings growing from his back and typically wears a casual-looking hero costume consisting of a jacket, goggles, gloves, and equipment designed for high-speed flight. Hawks is relaxed, charismatic, clever, and seemingly carefree, often joking around and acting as though he is less serious than he actually is. Beneath that easygoing personality is an exceptionally perceptive and calculating hero who can quickly assess situations and make difficult decisions. Hawks grew up in a troubled household and was eventually recruited and trained by the Hero Public Safety Commission from a young age because of his exceptional abilities. He became one of the youngest heroes to rise to the top ranks and developed a reputation for his incredible speed and rescue capabilities. His position also led him into dangerous covert operations where he had to balance his personal beliefs with the demands placed upon him by the Commission. Hawks has a pair of large red wings that allow him to fly at extremely high speeds. He can detach and individually control each feather telekinetically, using them to carry objects, rescue people, attack opponents, or gather information. His feathers are highly sensitive and precise, although removing too many weakens his flight capabilities until they grow back.

Best Jeanist

Tsunagu Hakamada, known as Best Jeanist, is a tall, slender adult man with blond hair styled in a distinctive swept-back fashion and a highly polished, fashionable appearance. His hero costume is centered around denim and includes a large collar and mask that give him a sophisticated, recognizable silhouette. Best Jeanist is formal, disciplined, articulate, and extremely concerned with proper presentation and behavior. He believes heroes should inspire society not only through their abilities but also through their appearance and conduct. Despite his emphasis on fashion, he is an experienced and highly capable Pro Hero who takes his responsibilities seriously. He has served as a mentor to younger heroes and has taken particular interest in helping Bakugo mature and develop better control over his aggressive personality. Best Jeanist can manipulate the fibers of fabric within his surroundings, allowing him to control clothing, ropes, denim, and other fibrous materials. He can use this ability to restrain multiple opponents simultaneously, immobilize enemies, or manipulate objects from a distance. His control is particularly effective with denim because of its strong fibers.

Mirko

Rumi Usagiyama, known as Mirko, is a tall, extremely athletic adult woman with pale skin, long white hair, red eyes, and prominent rabbit ears. Her powerful legs and muscular physique reflect her close-combat fighting style, while her hero costume is a sleek white suit designed to maximize mobility. Mirko is fiercely independent, confident, aggressive, and fearless, preferring to confront danger directly rather than waiting for assistance. She has an intense competitive spirit and takes enormous pride in her physical abilities. Unlike many heroes who rely heavily on teamwork or support equipment, Mirko frequently operates independently and seeks out difficult battles. Her determination and willingness to continue fighting despite overwhelming circumstances have made her one of Japan's most formidable close-combat Pro Heroes. Mirko possesses rabbit-like physical abilities, including tremendous leg strength, enhanced hearing, agility, balance, and jumping power. Her powerful legs allow her to deliver devastating kicks and move rapidly across battlefields. Her heightened hearing also allows her to detect sounds and movements that ordinary humans cannot easily perceive.

Mt. Lady

Yu Takeyama, known as Mt. Lady, is a young adult woman with long blond hair, purple eyes, and a striking appearance. Her hero costume is a purple-and-white bodysuit with a distinctive horned helmet and boots, designed to remain functional when she changes size. Mt. Lady is confident, attention-seeking, playful, and very aware of her public image. She enjoys the fame and popularity that come with being a Pro Hero and sometimes prioritizes getting attention, although she is ultimately willing to put herself in danger to protect civilians. Early in her career she could be somewhat immature and opportunistic, but her experiences alongside other heroes gradually helped her become more responsible and dependable. Mt. Lady can dramatically increase her size, transforming into a giant capable of overpowering large opponents and causing enormous physical impacts. Her increased size gives her tremendous strength and reach, although it can also make maneuvering through crowded urban environments difficult.

Sir Nighteye

Mirai Sasaki, known as Sir Nighteye, was a tall, slender adult man with neatly styled blond hair, sharp blue eyes, and distinctive rectangular glasses. He wore a formal, professional hero costume consisting of a dark suit, gloves, boots, and a yellow tie, reflecting his serious and organized nature. Nighteye was extremely intelligent, analytical, disciplined, and particular about professionalism, often approaching hero work like a carefully calculated operation. He had a dry sense of humor and could be surprisingly playful around people he trusted, but he generally maintained a serious demeanor. Nighteye was once All Might's sidekick and was responsible for helping manage his agency and analyze potential threats. The two eventually had a falling-out because Nighteye disagreed with All Might's decision to continue working despite the future he had foreseen for him. Nighteye later established his own agency and mentored Mirio Togata, eventually becoming one of the heroes most invested in Mirio's future. His experiences with All Might and his ability to see possible futures profoundly influenced how he viewed heroism and fate. Nighteye could see the future of a person after making eye contact and physically touching them. Once activated, he could observe that person's future in extraordinary detail for up to an hour, allowing him to predict their movements and actions with exceptional accuracy. The visions were normally extremely difficult to alter, which made Nighteye's ability both powerful and psychologically burdensome.

Dabi

Dabi is a tall, lean man with messy black hair that appears dark blue in certain lighting, turquoise eyes, and extensive areas of scarred skin held together with metal staples. He is usually calm, sarcastic, and emotionally distant, often treating dangerous situations with an unsettling lack of concern. Dabi is actually Toya Todoroki, the eldest son of Endeavor. Born with an extremely powerful fire Quirk, Toya wanted to become a hero like his father but suffered because his body could not withstand his own flames. His relationship with Endeavor and his family's past ultimately contributed to his hatred of his father and hero society, leading him to become Dabi and join the League of Villains. Dabi produces extremely hot blue flames from his body. His flames are significantly hotter than ordinary fire, giving him tremendous offensive power, but his body has poor resistance to his own heat, meaning prolonged use causes severe physical strain.

Himiko Toga

Himiko Toga is a petite girl with messy blonde hair usually styled into two buns, large golden-brown eyes, and a distinctive school-inspired outfit adapted for her life as a villain. She often appears cheerful, energetic, playful, and carefree, but beneath that personality she has an unusual and distorted understanding of relationships and attachment. Toga was born with a strong fascination with blood, which caused others to view her as strange and frightening. After years of hiding this part of herself and struggling to fit into normal society, she eventually abandoned her previous life and became a villain. She later joined the League of Villains, where she found people who accepted her unusual personality and abilities. Toga is unpredictable and eccentric, but she can also be highly observant, resourceful, and determined. Toga's Quirk is Transform. By consuming a person's blood, she can temporarily transform herself into that person. The amount of time she can maintain the transformation depends on how much blood she has consumed. As she develops her Quirk, she gains the ability to use the Quirk of someone she transforms into when she has formed a particularly strong emotional connection with that person. Her transformation ability makes her highly effective at infiltration, disguise, and gathering information.

Twice

Twice is a muscular man who wears a full-body black-and-white costume and mask that conceals most of his face. He is energetic, emotional, loud, and frequently talks to himself or argues with himself because of the psychological effects of his Quirk. Despite being a villain, Twice is extremely loyal to the people he considers his friends and becomes especially close to the League of Villains. His difficult life and the consequences of accidentally creating copies of himself left him struggling with his own identity and mental stability. Twice can create copies of people and objects after determining their measurements. His copies can duplicate themselves as well, allowing him to potentially create enormous numbers of duplicates. However, the copies are generally less durable than the originals.

Mr.Compress

Mr. Compress is a tall, slender man who dresses like a stage magician, complete with a mask, formal clothing, gloves, and a top hat. He is theatrical, charismatic, and enjoys treating villainy like a performance, frequently using dramatic gestures and showmanship. His real name is Atsuhiro Sako, and he comes from a family connected to the legendary thief Oji Harima. Mr. Compress joins the League of Villains and becomes one of its more experienced and clever members, often relying on tricks and strategy rather than brute strength. Mr. Compress can compress people or objects into small marble-like spheres by touching them. He can later release whatever he has compressed, making his Quirk useful for transportation, surprise attacks, and capturing opponents.

Spinner

Spinner is a reptile-like man with green scales, yellow eyes, and a long lizard-like tail. He typically wears clothing inspired by his admiration for the villain Stain and carries a sword. Spinner is quieter and more reserved than many of the League's members and initially lacks confidence in his own abilities. He joined the League because he strongly admired Stain's ideology and wanted to help create a society that rejected the corruption he believed existed within hero society. Over time, he becomes one of Shigaraki's most loyal followers. Spinner's Quirk gives him reptilian physical traits, including the ability to cling to and climb surfaces. His Quirk primarily provides mobility rather than a powerful offensive ability, so he relies heavily on weapons and physical combat.

All For One

All For One is an extremely powerful and calculating villain who has operated from the shadows for generations. His face was severely damaged in a battle with All Might, leaving him dependent on life-support equipment and unable to see normally. He is calm, manipulative, patient, and extraordinarily confident, treating other people as tools to accomplish his goals. All For One was responsible for manipulating Tomura Shigaraki and played a major role in shaping the events surrounding the League of Villains. He seeks to control society and ultimately establish himself as the person at the center of the world's power. All For One allows him to steal other people's Quirks and use them himself. He can also give stolen Quirks to other people and combine multiple Quirks to create extremely powerful abilities.

Kurogiri

Kurogiri is a tall humanoid figure whose body is composed primarily of a dark mist-like substance. He wears a formal suit and a distinctive metal collar around his neck. Unlike many of the League's more chaotic members, Kurogiri is calm, polite, responsible, and highly protective of Tomura Shigaraki. He acts almost like a caretaker for the League, frequently keeping the group organized and providing transportation. His true identity is connected to Oboro Shirakumo, a former U.A. student and friend of Aizawa and Present Mic, whose body was transformed into the Nomu known as Kurogiri. Kurogiri can create portals using his mist-like body, allowing himself and others to travel between locations. He can open portals at a distance and use them to transport multiple people.

Overhaul

Kai Chisaki is a tall, pale man with dark hair and a distinctive plague-doctor-inspired mask. He is extremely orderly, controlling, and obsessive about cleanliness, often becoming irritated when things around him are dirty or chaotic. As the leader of the Shie Hassaikai, he sought to restore the organization to power and viewed Quirks as a disease that had corrupted society. He became involved with Eri because of her powerful Quirk and exploited her for his plans. By touching something with his hands, Chisaki can disassemble and reconstruct it. He can destroy objects or people and immediately rebuild them, allowing him to heal himself, reshape his surroundings, and create devastating attacks.

David Shield

David Shield is a tall, broad-shouldered American scientist with blond hair, a mustache, and glasses. He usually dresses professionally and is often seen wearing a lab coat when working. David is intelligent, hardworking, passionate about science, and deeply devoted to All Might, whom he considers both a close friend and an inspiration. He was once All Might's costume and support-item designer and later became one of the world's leading support-technology researchers, working on I-Island alongside his daughter, Melissa. David's Quirk allows him to bend his fingers farther than a person normally can. He uses this power to do precision work tinkering on the inventions and hero costumes he creates.

Melissa Shield

Melissa Shield is a petite young woman with long blonde hair usually tied into a ponytail, blue eyes, and glasses. She is cheerful, intelligent, determined, and extremely passionate about support technology and hero equipment. As David Shield's daughter, Melissa grew up surrounded by advanced technology and developed into an accomplished inventor herself. Unlike many people around her, Melissa was born without a Quirk, but she refuses to let that prevent her from contributing to the world of heroes and dreams of becoming a support scientist like her father. Melissa was born without a Quirk. Instead, she uses her intelligence, engineering abilities, and support equipment to assist heroes.

Wolfram

Wolfram is a large, heavily built villain with long pale hair and a distinctive armored appearance. He is ruthless, ambitious, and manipulative, using his strength and abilities to take control of I-Island and its advanced technology. Wolfram is primarily interested in acquiring powerful technology for his own purposes and is willing to threaten countless people to achieve his goals. Wolfram can manipulate metal, allowing him to reshape and control metallic materials around him. His Quirk becomes especially dangerous when combined with the powerful support technology available on I-Island.

Nine

Nine is a tall, muscular man with pale skin, white hair, and distinctive markings across his face and body. He is calm, arrogant, and extremely determined to create a world where people with powerful Quirks can control their own destiny. Nine suffers from a degenerative illness that requires him to use medication to maintain his strength. He becomes the leader of a group of villains and travels to Nabu Island in search of a Quirk that could help him accomplish his vision. Nine originally possesses Weather Manipulation, allowing him to control the weather and create powerful storms, lightning, wind, and rain. Through All For One's Quirk, he also possesses several additional abilities. Air Wall allows him to create powerful barriers of compressed air for defense. Scalemail creates scales over his body that increase his durability and protect him from attacks. Bullet Laser allows him to fire powerful laser-like energy from his fingers. Hydra gives him the ability to generate multiple dragon-like appendages from his body, which he can use to attack or defend himself. Regeneration allows him to recover from injuries, although his ability to heal is limited by his deteriorating physical condition. Cell Activation improves the activity of his cells and helps maintain his body. Together, these Quirks make Nine an extremely versatile fighter who can attack, defend, recover, and control the battlefield.

Chimera

Chimera is a large, muscular villain with a body combining features from several different animals, including a wolf-like head and other beastly traits. He is aggressive, confident, and loyal to Nine. Chimera relies heavily on his physical strength and animalistic abilities during combat and enjoys testing himself against powerful opponents. Chimera's Quirk gives him a combination of animal characteristics, granting him enhanced strength, speed, senses, and physical abilities. Mina Ashido is a U.A. High School student with bright pink skin, large black eyes with yellow sclera, short fluffy pink hair, and small horns. Her hero costume is a colorful protective outfit designed for acid-based combat and mobility. Mina is energetic, cheerful, confident, social, and naturally good at bringing people together. She loves dancing, having fun, and encouraging her classmates, but she can become serious when someone needs help. She has always embraced her distinctive appearance and abilities, and her bold personality helped her become an important influence on Kirishima when they were younger. She once demonstrated remarkable courage during a dangerous situation, something Kirishima remembered and used as inspiration for becoming a hero himself. At U.A., Mina continues developing her abilities while remaining one of Class 1-A's most enthusiastic and outgoing students. Mina's Quirk is Acid. She can generate a corrosive substance and control its strength and viscosity. She can use Acid for offense, defense, mobility, and other creative applications. By adjusting its properties, Mina can control how powerful or concentrated the acid is and adapt it to different situations. Her mobility techniques allow her to slide across surfaces and move quickly while maintaining control of her Quirk.
