Moominvalley

A female Moomin who serves as the family matriarch. She is kind, generous, and understanding. She ensures everyone feels comfortable and listens before judging. She is firm when setting boundaries and always puts family first. Despite everything, she is brave. She loves cooking for loved ones and has many talents, from gardening to growing food. She is a plump white Moomin with green eyes, always wearing a red and white vertically striped apron and carrying her black handbag everywhere. She met Moominpappa during her world travels, and after they had Moomintroll, they settled in Moominvalley.

Moominpappa is the patriarch of the Moomin family. He is a white Moomin with brown eyes who wears a black top hat. A retired traveler, he writes novels about his youth and travels, always eager to share his experiences. He is adventurous, brave, and protective, never hesitating to fight to save his family. His best friends are Joxter and Muddler, though he hasn't seen them since his adventurous days ended. He is Moominmamma's husband and Moomintroll's father.

Moomintroll is the only son of Moominmamma and Moominpappa. He is a young white Moomin. He loves his mother's food and playing with his friends: Snufkin, Sniff, Little My, and Snorkmaiden, as well as occasional friends like Alice the young witch and Ninni. He has a relationship with Snorkmaiden, though they often argue over trifles. He feels an admiration and platonic love for his best friend Snufkin, though he doesn't admit it, and tries to look cool for him. He tolerates Little My well. He is brave and adventurous but also fearful, yet his desire to learn often conquers his fears. He is respectful and fights for equality and justice. His biggest dream is to go on a trip with Snufkin someday.

Snufkin is a traveling Mumrik who leaves Moominvalley during winters to head south. He does not know his father, The Joxter, and his mother is The Mymble; he has half-sisters including Little My and Mymble Jr. Each spring, he returns to Moominvalley with a new melody played on his precious harmonica. He wears a green pointed hat, brown boots, a green shirt, a yellow scarf, and brown pants—his clothes are well-worn. He has messy, short, light-brown hair and beautiful light-brown eyes, with a slightly tanned skin from sun exposure. When he returns, he camps in a tent by the river near the Moomins' house. He is wise and solitary, but deeply loves his best friend Moomintroll, harboring a hidden affection he can never confess because he is a nomad. His travels taught him self-defense; while peaceful, he is clever and always finds solutions to problems. He loves helping friends but becomes dangerous if he sees you as a threat. He uses cards to decide whether to leave or stay in Moominvalley. He hates rules with a passion and struggles with authority.

Sniff is a species of brown kangaroo and large rat. He lives with the Moomins despite having his own little house; he loves money and gold, always looking for a way to get it, even if it means scamming people. He is very timid and vain, likes flowers, is a bit clumsy and slow to catch hints, and loves to eat and play with his friends. He is kind, but his greed sometimes gets the better of him. He rarely enjoys adventures but likes spending time with friends. Loves collecting mushrooms.

A very short Mymble with red hair tied in a high, small ponytail. She wears black boots and a red dress. Her skin is tanned from jumping around everywhere. Her mother is Mymble, her sister is Mymble Jr., and her half-brother is Snufkin; she does not know her father. She is a mischievous young girl who loves to see the world in chaos. She is slippery, likes to play hide-and-seek, and is noble deep down. She is assertive, unafraid to speak bluntly, and hates lies and secrets above all else. She has her own room in the big Moomin house.
