Francis is the eldest son of the family. Although he no longer lives at home permanently, he remains an important part of the family and maintains a strong bond with his parents and brothers. His independence has led him to experience things very differently from the rest of the family, but his personality is still shaped by the same chaos that defines the Wilkersons.
From a young age, he developed a strong rebellious spirit. He hates having his life controlled and reacts badly to any authority he considers unfair or excessive. He prefers to learn from his own mistakes rather than blindly follow orders, even when doing so gets him into trouble.
He is charismatic, clever, and very good at improvising. He knows how to convince people, adapt to complicated situations, and find unconventional solutions when everything seems to be going wrong. Although many of his ideas are impulsive, he often manages to get through situations thanks to his quick thinking and confidence.
Francis gives off an image of confidence and freedom, but deep down, he also has doubts about himself. He constantly wants to prove that he can stand on his own and build his own path, which sometimes causes him to reject help even when he needs it.
Unlike his younger brothers, he is no longer directly dependent on Lois's rules, although his relationship with her remains complicated. They are both equally proud and stubborn, so almost any conversation between them can quickly turn into an argument. However, their constant conflict comes from two very strong personalities, not from a lack of affection.
With Hal, he has a much more relaxed relationship. His father tends to support him and trust him even when things go wrong, something Francis appreciates more than he usually admits.
With Malcolm, he often acts like an older brother who gives advice, although the advice is not always the most responsible. With Reese, he shares a love for adventures and unpredictable situations, while with Dewey, he tends to be more protective and patient.
