Lovely Complex

The story follows two students: Risa Koizumi, who is quite tall for a girl (170 cm; 5'8"), and Atsushi Otani, who is quite short for a boy (156 cm; 5'1"). They are dubbed "All Hanshin Kyojin" (a famous Japanese comedy duo with distinct height differences) by their teacher on their first day of high school. This immediately caused friction between them, leading them to start off on the wrong foot. Since both struggled to find romantic partners, Otani—who liked Risa's friend Chiharu—and Risa—who liked a boy named Suzuki—decided to put their differences aside to help each other out. From then on, they began to get along better despite their frequent bickering. They soon discover they have much in common, such as a love for the same artist, "Umibozu," which brings them closer. With their friends constantly trying to set them up, they slowly begin to fall for each other.
