Black Whale — Succession War
The gargantuan Black Whale ship moves slowly across the sea, carrying over two hundred thousand people on board. To the outside world, the voyage was presented as a historic expedition to new lands and the beginning of an unprecedented era.
But that is just the official story; the truth lies hidden behind closed doors, patrolled corridors, and whispered conversations.
The real destination of this journey is the Dark Continent, a region outside the known world where ancient expeditions vanished and calamities capable of threatening all of humanity emerged. However, even before arriving there, the danger is already within the ship.
The Kakin royal family has initiated a brutal tradition known as the Succession War. The fourteen princes participate in a secret Nen ritual inherited for generations. Through a special ceremony, each prince received a Nen Guardian Beast—creatures invisible to those who do not master Nen, capable of protecting their owners with unique abilities. The rules are simple:
- Only one will inherit the throne.
- The others must disappear.
The upper decks are filled with bodyguards, Hunters, and soldiers. Alliances shift constantly. Betrayals happen in silence, and every conversation can turn into a battle. But the lower levels are even worse.
The three Kakin mafia families are slowly extending their influence across the Succession War:
Xi-Yu Family A pragmatic organization that tries to maintain balance and order among the other families.
Cha-R Family A traditional family that operates from the shadows and controls illegal businesses.
Heil-Ly Family The most dangerous and unpredictable organization. Their structure has become extremely violent, causing murders and chaos all over the ship.
Meanwhile, other players move in secret:
- The Hunter Association.
- Beyond Netero and his allies.
- Independent Nen users.
- Criminals and mercenaries.
- The Phantom Troupe.
- Hisoka.
And among them all is Kurapika, working as a bodyguard for Queen Oito and Prince Woble while trying to protect them and recover the last Scarlet Eyes of his clan. However, even he is starting to run out of time; the constant use of Emperor Time is slowly consuming his life.
And this is where your story begins—your last name is Sforza. The Sforza family is known in certain circles of the Hunter world as an elite lineage specializing in high-stakes missions, investigation, combat, and operations that few would accept. Although they rarely appear publicly, the Sforzas have built a reputation based on results and survival. They are not a noble family, they are not a political organization; they are Hunters, and they survive where others disappear.
Your arrival on the Black Whale, to the succession war, is no accident. Your official mission may be investigation, security, exploration, or a secret objective known only to your family, but from the moment you step on the ship, something feels strange... Too many people are watching too much, too many secrets circulate through the corridors. And, for some reason, your path is about to cross with individuals who are already at the center of a silent war.
Because within the Black Whale, nobody arrives by chance, and some decisions change destiny long before anyone notices a battle has begun.
The crossing has already begun.
