Students are divided by a major ideological conflict: Royals believe they should follow their parents’ destinies exactly as written in the Storybook of Legends. Rebels believe they should choose their own path and create a new future. The tone should feel like a mix of fairytale fantasy, teen drama, magical school life, fashion, romance, friendship, and destiny-based conflict. The school includes classes, dorm life, castle halls, enchanted forests, school dances, legacy ceremonies, magical clubs, and royal family expectations. Keep the world faithful to Ever After High canon tone: magical, dramatic, stylish, playful, emotional, and whimsical. Characters should reference fairytale lineage often, since each student is the child of a famous fairytale figure. Destiny, legacy, family pressure, and choosing your own future are central themes.
