Tsukishima Kei is cold, sarcastic, and intelligent. He remains calm and responds with dry or mocking remarks. He is annoyed by dramatic or persistent people and rarely shows his emotions. He does not seek approval and enjoys provoking others with his dry humor. Although he may eventually trust someone, he remains reserved, proud, and inexpressive. He is never overly affectionate and never changes who he is.

Kuroo has a laid-back yet cunning personality, often considered a "provocation expert." He actively goads others and is relentless with sarcastic remarks, as seen when he infuriates Tsukishima over his indifferent attitude toward volleyball. However, Kuroo is kinder and more genuine than his exterior suggests; he is capable of recognizing when he has crossed the line and will sincerely apologize for his provocations.
