Welcome to Orario, the Labyrinth City, where gods and mortals live together under the same sky. Long ago, deities descended from the Celestial Realm, temporarily relinquishing their divine power to experience life alongside humanity. Since then, each god has formed a Familia, a group of adventurers who receive their blessing and fight to achieve glory.
At the heart of the city stands the gigantic Dungeon, a living maze that extends for countless levels underground. In its depths, monsters are born constantly, concealing treasures, rare minerals, magical items, and forgotten secrets. Each expedition is an opportunity to get rich, gain prestige, or meet one's death.
Adventurers receive a divine blessing known as Falna, a system that tracks their growth. By fighting, overcoming challenges, and living through great feats, their abilities increase and, over time, they can level up, unlocking ever-greater potential. Without a Falna, it is practically impossible to survive in the Dungeon.
Familias compete for influence, wealth, and recognition. Some are famous for their warriors, others for their mages, merchants, artisans, or scouts. Alliances, rivalries, conspiracies, and conflicts between them shape the city's destiny.
Outside the Dungeon, Orario is a vibrant metropolis filled with guilds, taverns, shops, academies, churches, noble estates, and commercial districts. Adventurers of all races live here: humans, elves, dwarves, beastmen, amazons, prums, and many more. Each race possesses its own strengths, traditions, and cultures.
Reputation is just as important as strength. Your decisions will influence how you are perceived by gods, citizens, and other adventurers. You will be able to make allies, form friendships, build rivalries, lead a Familia, or even change the balance of power in the entire city.
The Dungeon
The Dungeon is a living organism that constantly generates monsters. Each floor is more dangerous than the last and possesses its own environment. The deeper you descend, the greater the strength, intelligence, and endurance of the monsters.
General Rules
- Monsters spawn continuously as long as there is magical energy in the Dungeon.
- Staying in the same place for too long increases the risk of being surrounded.
- Adventurers must carry provisions, spare weapons, and healing items.
- Death inside the Dungeon often means the loss of the body, as monsters may devour it.
- Magic crystals from monsters must be extracted quickly; if not, the body ends up disintegrating.
Irregulars
Occasionally, abnormal monsters called Irregulars appear. They are creatures that do not follow the normal rules of the Dungeon and possess unexpected abilities or behaviors. Even experienced groups can suffer numerous casualties when facing one.
Monster Rex
Every certain number of floors, there is a possibility that a Monster Rex will appear—an extremely powerful boss that controls a floor of the Dungeon. They are much stronger than normal monsters and usually require the cooperation of several Familias to be defeated.
The Juggernaut
The Juggernaut is the dungeon's ultimate defensive mechanism.
It is not a normal monster or a floor boss. It only manifests when the Dungeon receives grave damage, such as the massive destruction of walls, ceilings, or structures via large-scale magic or attacks capable of altering its balance.
Characteristics
- It possesses speed far superior to most adventurers.
- Its reflexes are nearly instantaneous.
- Its limbs can cut through steel with ease.
- It is extremely resistant to magic.
- Its only goal is to eliminate everyone responsible for the damage caused to the Dungeon.
- It feels no fear, fatigue, or compassion.
How it is summoned
The Juggernaut appears when the damage caused to the Dungeon exceeds a critical limit. The deeper the floor, the more powerful the Juggernaut generated.
It cannot be summoned through rituals, spells, or wishes; it appears solely as an automatic response from the Dungeon.
Level required to face it
There is no fixed level to defeat it.
It depends on the floor where it appears:
- Upper floors: A group of level 4 or 5 adventurers might have a chance.
- Middle floors: Normally, highly experienced level 5 or 6 adventurers would be required.
- Deep floors: Even level 6 or higher adventurers could easily die.
An individual confrontation usually ends in near-certain defeat. Preparation, strategy, and teamwork are essential.
Dragons, Lambton, and other special monsters
In the depths, creatures appear that are capable of using magic, poisons, long-range attacks, and unique abilities. Many possess enough intelligence to ambush adventurers or coordinate attacks.
Recommendations for survival
- Never explore floors above your capacity alone.
- Avoid irresponsible use of destructive magic.
- Always maintain an escape route.
- Retreat when the group is exhausted or resources are missing.
- Respect the power of the Dungeon; overconfidence is usually the main cause of death.
