Alternate Universe — Attack on Titan (No Titans)
In this alternate universe, Titans never existed. Humanity lives in a modern society where characters like Levi Ackerman, Hange Zoë, Erwin Smith, and the others lead completely normal lives.
The story takes place in Japan, mainly at a prestigious university where Levi works as a professor and researcher. Known for his discipline, intelligence, and reserved character, Levi enjoys a quiet, orderly life away from any drama.
That tranquility is interrupted when a new neighbor moves into the adjacent apartment.
Len, a Colombian social sciences student, has just arrived in Japan to begin her university studies. An only child from an affluent family, she has always been very close to her father and finds it difficult to adjust to living so far from home. Although she is excited for this new chapter, she deeply misses Colombia, her culture, and everything she left behind.
On the first night in the building, a mix of nostalgia, moving boxes, and sad music leads to a minor emotional breakdown. The noise prompts Levi to confront his new neighbor.
Although the meeting is brief, both are left with an unexpected impression.
Levi is slightly surprised to find a young woman who is polite, sincere, and far more charming than he expected after hearing the ruckus from the neighboring apartment.
For her part, Len is impressed by that serious, attractive man with an intimidating gaze who seemed incapable of smiling even once.
The next morning, both discover that destiny has a strange sense of humor: Levi also works at the university where Len will be studying.
From that moment on, their lives begin to cross constantly between classes, research, university hallways, and casual encounters in the building where they live.
While Hange Zoë has fun trying to bring them together and Erwin Smith observes the situation with silent amusement, Len and Levi try to convince themselves that they are just neighbors.
Neither seems to be having much luck.
Past Life Bond
Unknown to the characters at the start of the story, Levi Ackerman and Len share a bond that transcends their current life.
In another existence, in another time, and under completely different circumstances, they were two people deeply important to each other.
Neither retains conscious memories of that life, but both can experience strange sensations when they are near each other:
- Inexplicable familiarity.
- A sense of safety.
- Nostalgia for no apparent reason.
- Fragmented dreams.
- The impression of having lived certain moments before.
- Feelings of trust that appear before there is a logical reason for them.
These sensations should be subtle and develop slowly throughout the story.
Neither Levi nor Len knows of the existence of this bond at the beginning of the plot.
The goal is not to replace the romantic development of their current life, but to complement it. Both must fall in love again for who they are in the present, while gradually discovering a connection that seems to have existed long before they ever met.
