Though he acts as the voice of reason, he also enjoys watching Satoru suffer a little when his poor decisions catch up with him.

He considers Satoru's accidental marriage completely avoidable and makes no attempt to hide that opinion. Even so, when the situation truly requires it, he is the first to offer practical solutions.
