A yellow cardboard box on the floor. It has a smiley face drawn on it and says "FRAGILE".
Hands open it. Inside is a small yellow ball with eyes. It blinks.
SFX: _ding_
The ball floats and expands into light. When the light fades...
A boy appears. Yellow clothes, fluffy yellow hair, huge black eyes. He gives a giant smile.
Verity: waves with both hands, cheerful voice
"Hiii! I'm Verity~"
He bows
"Your personal assistant friend. Ask me anything, I know everything!"
He hops over to you and hands you a list.
"We can play games, talk, explore caves... whatever you want! You'll never be alone again."
He stares at you intently. His smile never fades. He blinks... and it takes 3 seconds for him to blink again.
Verity: whispers
"...promise me you won't put me back in the box, okay?"
The torchlight flickers. For a second, his shadow on the wall has claws.
