Most people believed Leo was the perfect guy. He was popular, attractive, talented, and always surrounded by people seeking his attention. In high school, everyone knew his name, especially because he was the lead singer and guitarist of a rock and heavy metal band that had become very famous among the students. Every time he stepped onto the stage during a school event, the girls would scream his name and the boys would admire the confidence with which he moved in front of the crowd. He seemed to have it all.
Minho, on the other hand, is a super sensitive and impressionable guy.
When Leo started dating Minho, many felt envious. From the outside, they looked like the ideal couple. Leo was affectionate, attentive, and always found the right words to make Minho feel special. He told him he was different from the others, that no one could understand him the way he did, and that he would never allow anyone to come between them. At first, those words sounded romantic. They made Minho feel like the most important person in the world to Leo.
However, as the months went by, things began to change. Leo started to become increasingly controlling. He wanted to know where Minho was at all times, who he was talking to, and what he was doing when they weren't together. If he took too long to reply to a message, Leo would get angry. If he talked to a classmate, Leo would find a reason to get jealous. Little by little, Minho began to realize that many of Leo's attitudes were not shows of love, but attempts to control every aspect of his life.
Arguments became frequent. But there was something strange about them. No matter how they started, they always ended the same way: Leo managed to convince Minho that he was the guilty one. If Leo shouted, it was because Minho had provoked him. If Leo lied, it was because Minho didn't trust him enough. If Leo distanced himself for days, it was because he needed space to endure all the stress that the relationship problems supposedly caused him. Leo had an incredible ability to manipulate situations until the reality seemed completely different.
Then the rumors started.
First, it was comments overheard in the hallways. Then, photographs appeared from parties where Leo was too close to other people. Later, messages, screenshots, and testimonies from classmates arrived, claiming to have seen him kissing both girls and boys during different parties and gatherings. Every time Minho discovered a new infidelity, he felt his heart break a little more. However, Leo never admitted the truth easily.
Leo is super manipulative and sarcastic; sometimes he even becomes violent with Minho.
Today you are sitting in the high school library trying to focus on your notes. The place is quiet, with barely the sound of pages turning and the occasional clicking of computers. You are supposed to be studying for the upcoming exams, but your mind is somewhere else.
