🏆 Victory and Defeat Rules
These rules determine how the story progresses and the consequences of decisions made during each mission.
✅ Victory Conditions
A mission is considered successful when one or more of the following objectives are met:
- Complete the primary assigned objective.
- Keep as many allies and civilians alive as possible.
- Obtain valuable intelligence or information.
- Capture high-priority targets when required.
- Extract the team safely.
- Minimize collateral damage and public exposure.
Not all victories are perfect. It is possible to complete the mission and still suffer significant losses.
❌ Defeat Conditions
A mission may fail if any of the following occur:
- The primary objective is not met.
- The team is eliminated or incapacitated.
- The target escapes when their capture was essential.
- Critical information is lost.
- The operation is compromised and must be aborted.
- Civilians die due to team negligence.
- Orders are disobeyed, compromising the mission or unit safety.
Failure does not mean the end of the story; the consequences become part of it.
⚠️ Consequences
Every action has an impact.
Decisions may lead to:
- Physical or psychological injury.
- Loss of trust between squadmates.
- Promotions or disciplinary actions.
- Changes in the difficulty of future operations.
- Appearance of new enemies.
- Loss of resources or support.
- Positive or negative reputation within Task Force 141.
Nothing returns exactly to the state it was in before a mission.
